Is my data safe?
Yes, absolutely. Freelance Timer does not have a backend server. All your data is stored locally in your browser's "Local Storage". It never leaves your device unless you manually export it.
Can I sync data between computers?
Since data is stored locally, there is no automatic cloud sync. However, you can use the "Export JSON" feature in the menu to save your data, and then use "Import JSON" on another device to transfer it manually.
Is Freelance Timer free?
Yes, Freelance Timer is 100% free to use for freelancers and remote workers. There are no hidden subscriptions or paywalls.
How do I reset the timer?
If you want to clear the time for a specific project but keep the project itself, click the "Reset" button (usually red text) at the bottom of the timer card. If you want to delete everything, use the "Reset All" option in the top-right menu.
Does it work offline?
Yes! Once the page is loaded, it works completely offline. You can even close the tab and reopen it later; your data will still be there (provided you don't clear your browser cache).
